The Civil Protection of Campania has issued a Yellow weather alert for thunderstorms valid from 14 to 23.59 tomorrow, Wednesday 28 February, throughout the region except for zones 4 (High Irpinia and Sannio) and 7 (Tanagro). The rainfall could be intense and sudden.
The storm phenomena will be characterized by forecast uncertainty and rapid evolution and could be accompanied by lightning, hail and wind gusts.
The hydrogeological criticality concerns possible floods, overflows, runoffs, presence of water in the roadways due to problems related to the correct functioning of the meteorological systems, but also landslides and falling rocks.
It is recommended that the competent authorities activate the Municipal Operational Centers and all measures aimed at preventing and combating the expected phenomena, also in compliance with the municipal civil protection plans, as well as paying attention to the communications of the Regional Operational Room.
