The victim, a 42-year-old local woman, realizing she had been robbed, had the coolness to follow the two criminals and at the same time to call her husband and father for help, knowing they were nearby as they were also running errands.
They, having reached the woman and with the help of some passers-by, tried to stop the two criminals. While one of them managed to escape immediately, the other one, who had stolen the wallet from the 42-year-old woman, managed to free himself and escape later, but only after forcefully pushing the same victim and her father to the ground.
The military of the Arma, alerted by some passers-by, noticed a foreigner corresponding to the description provided running in the opposite direction to them. Immediately pursued, he was then stopped. After a personal search, the carabinieri found in the right pocket of his tracksuit pants the wallet that had just been stolen containing the sum of € 95, identification documents and credit cards belonging to the victim. The man, a 33-year-old Nigerian, was arrested and taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. He will have to answer for improper robbery.
