Women in Harmony: A Concert at Ss. Ascensione Parish in Chiaia

On March 10th at 6:30 PM, the Ss. Ascensione parish in Chiaia will host a concert featuring exclusively female artists, singers, and musicians, who are part of Gynè - small orchestra Ritmarte lab. The event is part of the "L'arte in piazzetta" series, an artistic and cultural project involving the cultural association Ritmarte lab and the Ss. Ascensione parish in Chiaia. In collaboration with the municipality and the city of Naples and the honorary consulate of Brazil in Naples, they bring to life a musical event starring female artists of high artistic profile. Gynè - small orchestra Ritmarte lab will see on stage Rosa Alba Cacciola (piano - voice), Martina Anno (flute), Paola Sasso (violin), and Ylenia Attardi (cello), with the participation of Sofia Saggiomo on piano. A sonic journey recounted through unpublished pieces, author's music by Maurizio Saggiomo, ballads, and songs animated by sophisticated rhythmic scans in a fusion between Naples and its sound influences, with never trivial lyrics, daughters of the language of the Neapolitan land, alternating with monologues performed by Maria Gabriella Tinè and the exhibition of paintings by the artist Carla Castaldo, all female, a strength of the association. The initiative was strongly desired by the parish priest Don Giuseppe Carmelo within the cultural, social, and community activities that the Ss. Ascensione parish in Chiaia is cultivating with faith and passion, involving young people and adults, children with their families, and the elderly. "We chose March for the first appointment as it is the month of women, an important opportunity to reflect on the daily challenges women face and to promote a world of gender equality. However, we cannot ignore the persistent problem of gender violence, which has devastating impacts in many forms. It is crucial to collectively commit to breaking down the barriers that perpetuate such harmful behaviors. Solidarity and commitment are fundamental to eliminating violence and enabling women to thrive without fear," said the vice president of the association, Vasiliki Kolligri. The event will see alternating moments of music, poetry, painting.
