Worker Injured After Falling from Scaffolding in Capri

A worker was injured after falling from a height of over ten meters while working on scaffolding. It happened late this morning in Capri, at a hotel in Marina Grande. The man, according to initial information, is an employee of the hotel in his fifties, not residing in Capri. The worker was on a suspended scaffold connected to an overhead terrace when he lost his balance, ending up on the pavement of the same hotel. Immediate rescue efforts were initiated, with his colleagues providing first aid and calling emergency services, who arrived at the scene with an ambulance. The onboard medical team found that the man had sustained multiple traumas in the fall, particularly to his face, though he remained conscious. Police officers from the Capri station also arrived at the scene to inspect the area and reconstruct the dynamics of the incident, while the worker was taken to Capilupi hospital for initial treatment. Later, doctors arranged for an air ambulance to transport the man to the Mare Hospital in Naples, where he is currently hospitalized awaiting more specific and specialized treatment.
