Yellow Alert Issued for Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorms in Sannio

A yellow alert from midnight today and for the entire day tomorrow, has been issued by the regional civil protection. In the Sannio area, precipitation in the form of downpours or thunderstorms is expected and, for this reason, the mayor of Benevento, Clemente Mastella, has issued a notice inviting citizens to adopt cautious behaviors. It will be necessary to avoid frequenting basements or ground floor locations, mainly if along roads notoriously affected by large water flows and in any case to constantly monitor the level of runoff water. In case of flooding, immediately disconnect the electricity; proceed with great caution, in case of need to cross an underpass by car, verifying its feasibility and, if not, immediately communicate to the emergency numbers 112, 113, 115; pay maximum attention to sites already indicated for hydrogeological risk; observe particular caution in movements, limiting them to what is strictly necessary.
