The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Avellino executed an order for house arrest issued against a 24-year-old from Altavilla Irpina, considered to be seriously suspected - at the current stage of the investigation - of possession with the intent to distribute drugs. The restrictive measure was ordered by the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Avellino, upon request of the Public Prosecutor's Office led by prosecutor Domenico Airoma who coordinated the activities conducted by the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Company of Avellino and the Station of Altavilla Irpina.
The investigations are part of a planned focus of the Prosecutor's Office on drug trafficking, a criminal sector entrusted to a specific investigative pool, both for the potential connections with organized crime circuits and for the need to combat the entrenchment of such criminal behaviors, harmful to young people and the entire Irpinian community.
