Young Man Arrested for Drug Possession in Villaricca

In Villaricca, the carabinieri of the local station arrested Arsenio Ascione, an 18-year-old local already known to the law enforcement, for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. The military intervened in the young man's apartment to check on him. The 18-year-old, in fact, is under house arrest and the alarm of his electronic bracelet was triggered. Once inside the house, the carabinieri were surprised by a strong smell of narcotic substance. In a chest, a box containing half a block of hashish weighing 44 grams and 27 doses of the same substance weighing a total of 56 grams was found. Along with the drugs, there was also various material for packaging the narcotic and 50 euros in small denomination banknotes. The 18-year-old has been transferred to jail awaiting trial. As for the bracelet, it was probably a false alarm.
