Stabbed and robbed in the street, but it's all made up. A 23-year-old reports a fake robbery to cover for his mother who had stabbed him. Charged by the police.
He had told the police that he had been a victim of a robbery. The dynamics had been well explained: someone had grabbed him from behind and hit him with a knife. All in the street, on a crowded Sunday morning on via Cavalleggeri d’Aosta and for a few coins.
He had even provided a precise description of the attacker, which turned out to be completely invented.
Thanks to several cameras placed in a great position relative to the place reported by the young man, the police analyzed hours of images.
But they did not stop at this: at the indicated time, many businesses were open and, from the stories of the shopkeepers, no one seemed to have noticed anything.
So, the police summoned the victim for some explanation and to clarify what happened, knowing that more than something did not add up in the version told by the victim.
The story was repeated several times and each time a detail escaped.
In the end, the young man gave up and explained that it was not a North African who had attacked him and that the robbery had never occurred: that evening he had argued with his mother, for trivial reasons.
During the discussion, the woman would have hit him with a knife in the arm and the young man, in order not to get his mother in trouble, would have invented the whole story.
