Youth Arrested with Drugs After Attempting to Evade Police Check

Upon seeing the carabinieri, two young individuals attempted to evade the checkpoint with strange maneuvers but were stopped by the carabinieri on Via Martiri Atellani in Orta di Atella: in the car, a Ford Fiesta, drugs were hidden. One ends up in jail, the other fined for driving without a license and insurance. The two young men, a 20-year-old from Orta di Atella and a 23-year-old from Cardito, were stopped by the carabinieri of the radiomobile unit of the Marcianise Company, who were suspicious of the behavior of the two in an area, moreover, very close to the "Parco Verde di Caivano", a well-known drug dealing area. As soon as they were stopped, the nervous attitude of the two young men prompted the carabinieri to conduct a personal and vehicle search. And here's the surprise: under the seat of the 23-year-old passenger was found a glasses case containing 28 sticks of hashish with a total weight of 70.04 grams and in his wallet the sum of 190 euros, considered proceeds of illegal activity. This led to a search also in the home of the 23-year-old where the military seized marijuana with a total weight of 396 grams in addition to two handmade knives with a precision cutting system and a precision scale. The 20-year-old driver of the car was fined for driving without a license and the vehicle lacking insurance coverage, the 23-year-old, however, after the formalities, was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, at the disposal of the judicial authority.
