Yesterday afternoon, the Public Prosecutor of Naples, Nicola Gratteri, visited the local Operational Center of the Anti-Mafia Investigative Directorate. He was welcomed by the director of the DIA, Michele Carbone, and the head of the center, Claudio De Salvo. During the meeting with the officials and officers of the operational center, the activities carried out and those in progress were examined; Prosecutor Gratteri and Director Carbone focused particularly on the operational strategies to be adopted to prevent and effectively combat the phenomena of organized crime present in the district's territory, deepening the investigative themes at the basis of important ongoing criminal police investigations. Particular emphasis, in the evaluations on the activities in progress, was also dedicated to the prevention measures for the aggression of the illicitly accumulated assets by organized crime and the use of specific DIA tools to counter the criminal presence in the economy such as reports for suspicious operations, topics on which, moreover, important results have been achieved such as the recent seizure ordered by the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and executed last month for an amount of about 55 million euros on a joint proposal of the Public Prosecutor and the Director of the DIA. At the end of the meeting, Gratteri, with Director Carbone, met the staff of the Operational Center to whom he expressed heartfelt thanks for the commitment made in the difficult territory of the District and wanted to make all the members of the inter-force structure feel the closeness of the entire Prosecutor's Office.
