Summer in Maiori is painted with unique and traditional flavors with the event 'Melanzana al Cioccolato', a food and wine experience that promises to delight the palate and lift the spirits. The event will take place on August 7, 2025, from 8 PM, in the charming Giardini di Palazzo Mezzacapo, a delightful setting for an unforgettable evening. The queen of the evening will be the aubergine, a versatile ingredient, the star of typical local dishes. Chef Nunzia Pastore, known for her skill in preparing the typical Maiori dessert made with aubergine and chocolate, will guide the audience on a culinary journey that includes: Aubergine Panzanella, Sicilian Casarecci, Cuzztiello with aubergine and mushroom meatball, Aubergine with chocolate, Drink, Granita, and Limoncello. Besides good food, the event will offer an engaging musical program. The group 'I Medina' will entertain visitors with melodies characterized by folk music, while the theater will be represented by the company 'Maiur è!', which will stage a show that combines theater, dance, and folk music, under the direction of Costantino Amatruda. The collaboration with local dance schools, led by teachers Patrizia Scarpati, Rossella Ferrara, and Trofimena Sarno, will further enrich the event. Tickets are available in different options: Entry with menu: €20 (includes a rich menu of typical dishes), Reduced: €10 (includes aubergines with chocolate and sorbet), Entry only: €5 (includes lemon sorbet), Children under 12: FREE.
