The council, chaired by Mayor Clemente Mastella, has approved a resolution that protects the minimum wage in the contracts of the Municipality of Benevento. "A measure of legal civilization and a concrete form of economic protection for workers who have the right, in implementation of Article 36 of the Constitutional Charter, to a fair and decent wage. Once again, the Municipality of Benevento is a pioneer on the road to safeguarding the intangible dignity of labor," explains Mayor Clemente Mastella. The measure includes, among other things, that in all tender procedures, in accordance with Article 11 of the Public Contracts Code, the collective labor agreement most relevant to the activity performed shall be applied to the personnel employed in the works, services, and supplies subject to public contracts and concessions; that a minimum economic treatment of 9 euros per hour is guaranteed; the carrying out of a survey of all contracts signed from the year 2022, with the aim of verifying compliance with the principles of minimum wage for the worker.
