"Books: Integration of Reading Literacy in the formal system of teacher training" is the title of the training course for teachers in Campania, organized by the Valenzi Foundation in collaboration with the Center for the Book and Reading of the Ministry of Culture, which will see its final event on Saturday 17th February from 10 am at the Foundation's headquarters in Maschio Angioino. The project involved about 50 teachers from various secondary schools in Campania, with the aim of expanding knowledge in the field of training young readers. The aims of the training course for teachers were to allow the growth of text comprehension skills calibrated for sectors and age classes, as well as orientation for Internet searches, for the use of school textbooks and the processing of texts. The lessons were given by librarians Maria Rosaria Bacchini, Stefania Castanò, and Nicola Madonna. During the project, draft training courses for students on the themes of Reading Literacy were also carried out, guided visits to network subjects (museums, archives, libraries) and book presentations at schools with the authors involved by the bookstores participating in the project. The teachers involved in the project have created six "thematic guides" in six different areas: humanistic-literary, mathematical, natural sciences, historical-legal-philosophical, artistic and linguistic. The final meeting will be characterized by the presentation of the six thematic guides created and the delivery of certificates.
