"The rapid pace of searches and acquisitions of resolutions and documents ordered by the Avellino Prosecutor's Office in the investigations involving Mayor Gianluca Festa is disturbing. In my long experience, I have no memory of it," said attorney Luigi Petrillo, defender of Avellino's Mayor Gianluca Festa, after a new notice of guarantee for omission in office acts was notified to the mayor of the Irpinian capital, emphasizing that "the magistrates are doing their job, but the disturbance for accusatory hypotheses that we still do not know cannot be ignored: from the documents that have been notified to us, we still do not know what we have to defend ourselves from." Regarding the various strands of the investigation started by the Avellino Prosecutor's Office, in the opinion of the criminal lawyer, "currently, and on the basis of the documents, they are imaginative speculations that, however, contribute to creating a destabilizing climate for the city of Avellino." On the new accusation against Mayor Festa of omission in office acts, Luigi Petrillo emphasizes that "there is no law that requires the publication of resolutions in the Official Gazette," while adding, "there is an obligation for the Prosecutor's Office to deposit, within one day, the documents at the Review Tribunal to which we have appealed. Several days have passed, but nothing has yet been deposited."
