"Private companies cannot be excluded from the management of urban waste in the province, because there are over 700 jobs and 80 million in turnover at stake." This is the firm belief of Confindustria Benevento which is monitoring the situation related to waste management and its complex implications.

"We have already scheduled a meeting in the Campania Region to address the situation that threatens to overwhelm the private sector." These are the words of the president of Confindustria Benevento Oreste Vigorito in response to the events that have involved the private operators entrusted with urban hygiene services and owners of waste selection and treatment plants in the province, in relation to the Ato waste of Benevento following the decision to entrust a new in-house company, entirely public, with the management of the integrated cycle of urban waste.

"We are constantly monitoring the situation and listening to the reasons of the companies in the sector - explains Vigorito - The important coordination work among operators is the result of the commitment of the Environment Section led by president Giuseppe Pancione whom I personally thank for the valuable support provided. The next step is to bring the matter back to the regional table in order to safeguard the economic and social well-being of a territory in which the environmental sector plays a key role."
