For several days, the carabinieri of the Aversa station, during the normal territory control services, had increased their patrols in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the surrounding streets because they were aware of the presence, in that area, of some drug dealers. A 35-year-old man from Sant’Arpino was arrested last night for drug trafficking and possession with the intent to distribute narcotics. The man, known to the law enforcement because he had already been issued a mandatory re-entry ban into the municipality of Aversa, was caught exchanging narcotics for money with two North African citizens who, after the exchange, managed to escape without a trace. The pusher, immediately restrained by the carabinieri, was subjected to a personal search during which he was found in possession of 6 heat-sealed packages containing 8.83 grams of hashish and the sum of 85 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the drug dealing activity. The arrested was taken to house arrest at his home awaiting summary trial.
