The firefighters of Avellino intervened on the scene. The 88-year-old man behind the wheel of the small car was injured and was entrusted to the 118 health workers who arranged for his transport to the Moscati hospital in Avellino. No other vehicles were involved. The Carabinieri of the Atripalda Station and the Radiomobile Unit of Avellino intervened, as well as the Avellino Road Police, to carry out the necessary surveys to reconstruct the sequence of the accident.
