The Civil Protection of the Campania Region, following the assessments of the Functional Center, has extended the current weather alert of Yellow level for rain and storms until 8 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12. In the regional territory, in fact, precipitation in the form of showers or thunderstorms will continue to persist, which could lead to a consequent hydrogeological risk with flooding and landslides. Until 8 PM today, the alert level is Yellow across the entire Campania. From 8 PM this evening until 8 PM tomorrow, the precipitation will be attenuating in quadrants 4 and 7 (Alta Irpinia and Sannio; Tanagro) where it will change to Green. It is reminded that phenomena of instability can occur even in the absence of precipitation due to the saturation of the soils. Municipalities are reminded to keep the Municipal Operational Centers (COCs) active and to implement all measures aimed at preventing, countering, and mitigating the forecasted phenomena, in line with their respective municipal civil protection plans. Furthermore, the Municipality of Naples announces that city parks, the north pier of Bagnoli, and access to public beaches will also be closed tomorrow.
