After the success (and controversy) of Sanremo 2024, Geolier seems to be ready to embark on a new adventure. The rapper of records, already sold out at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium next June, has also landed on Netflix. Given the recent discussions that have involved the young artist, the rap talent that sees him among the judges, has arrived with perfect timing. Produced by Freemantle, New Scene - Rhythm + Flow Italy arrived on the platform on February 19 after several postponements and delays. The format, even before it aired, had been compared to several MTV programs made over the years that, however, saw freestyle battles between young rappers at the center.

New Scene is a real talent show where young aspiring artists will compete against each other to win a prize of 100,000 euros. Long before Geolier became so mainstream, the rapper had already been included (in a very forward-looking way) in the roster of judges. Accompanying the second-placed at Sanremo 2024 are Fabri Fibra, a well-known face of the Italian rap scene loved and appreciated by the mainstream audience, and Rose Villain who, a bit like Geolier, obtained the definitive consecration with the just past edition of the Festival. Composed of 8 episodes, the series is divided into three parts: one that saw the publication of the first 4 episodes on February 19, a second that, instead, will debut with episodes 5, 6 and 7 on February 26. The final, instead, will arrive in streaming on March 6.

Among the announced guests who will accompany the judges during the episodes also include Ernia, Fred De Palma, Ketama126, Lazza, Lele Blade, Nayt, Nitro, Rocco Hunt, Squarta, Yung Snapp. They will duet during the episodes with the young talents in competition, Guè, Madame, Marracash and Noyz Narcos. New Scene could prove to be another springboard for Geolier who, after the success of his latest album The Courage of Children, and Sanremo aspires to become one of the leading faces of the Italian hip hop scene in the coming years.
