They had started a waste fire a few steps from the state scientific high school "Gino Segre", in San Cipriano d'Aversa and thought they could walk away undisturbed. The two Romanians, a 58-year-old and a 35-year-old, both residents in the Caserta area, were caught and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Casal di Principe company during an interprovincial service to combat waste fires and illicit conduct related to the Land of Fires. They will have to answer for illegal combustion of waste and hazardous materials. It happened in the afternoon, on Via Circumvallazione, when the Carabinieri noticed the column of smoke that directed them to the site of the fire, where they surprised the two while they were still in the process of burning plastic waste and industrial processing waste. On the spot, the military requested the immediate intervention of a team of firefighters from the Aversa detachment who managed to extinguish the flames. The arrested, after the formalities, were placed under house arrest, at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
