If Naples is the city with the highest inflation and the highest price increases among those with more than 150,000 inhabitants, Benevento beats it, recording not only the highest inflation in Italy, +2.3%, but also the highest increase in the cost of living, equal to 492 euros against the 419 of Naples.

This is emphasized by the National Consumers Union which has taken into consideration the inflation data for January of all the cities monitored by the Istat

The silver medal for Campania goes to Avellino, where the inflation of 0.8%, equal to the Italian average, results in an annual expenditure increase of 171 euros per family, less than the 188 euros of the Italians. Well done Caserta, even in deflation, with -0.2% from January 2023 to January 2024 and a consequent family saving of 43 euros.
