Almost three hundred people participated this morning, at the Palaparente in the training event of «Benevento Cardioprotetta», with slides, videos and practical sessions to learn life-saving maneuvers and use the numerous defibrillators already located in the neighborhoods and districts of the city. «This is one of the initiatives - explained the mayor Clemente Mastella - of which I am most proud because it preserves and protects human life. Timely intervention is crucial. We have already positioned 12 defibrillators, of which 5 in the districts and 2 in the most populous neighborhood, the Rione Libertà. We will continue with imminent installations at Pezzapiana and in the area of the Roman Theater».

The next step, adds the mayor, will be the schools: those that still do not have a defibrillator can request one. Life-saving devices also in places that will be renovated and requalified such as the central station or the future «Federal Building» on Viale Atlantici.

The councilor delegated to health Luca De Lipsis added: «This training day was a great success for which I thank the instructors of Squicciarini Rescue and the numerous participants: we will repeat events of this kind also in function of didactic updating. With a great teamwork, the administration of Clemente Mastella has achieved excellent results on the crucial aspect of cardio-protection: we are a model for the entire Central-South».
