He does not accept the end of the romantic relationship and persecutes his ex-partner to the point of threatening her with death. In Cisterna di Latina, the carabinieri of the local station have arrested a 23-year-old local man for the crime of stalking against a 46-year-old woman from Salerno who had filed a complaint with the Carabinieri station in Amalfi (Salerno). The woman had decided to end a brief relationship with the 23-year-old, but he had not accepted her decision and thus began to persecute her with continuous phone calls and messages at all hours of the day and night, eventually threatening her with death by sending her photos of a gun. Death threats were also directed at the woman's family members who had tried to convince him over the phone to leave her alone. The man, tracked down to his home, tried in vain to evade the search of the military by hiding inside a wardrobe. Based on the photographic documentation and messaging obtained from the victim's smartphone, the military arrested the young man who, as ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Latina, was imprisoned in the local penitentiary.
