The 'yellow flames' of the provincial command have seized 10,635 kilograms of pellet non-compliant with the Consumer Code. Specifically, as part of targeted activities in product safety, the financiers of the mobile section of the economic-financial police unit of Benevento identified in Sannio a commercial operator who held, in his own warehouse and ready for sale, numerous pallets of heating pellet, found to be lacking any information required by current regulations, therefore the indication of the product's origin and its composition, the legal headquarters of the manufacturer or simply the type of wood used to produce it. In fact, only the application of such indications guarantees the final buyer the quality of the product and, above all, its use in complete safety. The person responsible for the commercial activity, for whom the prescribed sanctions have been applied, has been reported to the competent authorities. To counter the spread of non-compliant products compared to safety standards means - as reiterated by the Guardia di Finanza - to contribute to ensuring effective protection of consumers and a competitive market where honest economic operators can benefit from fair competition conditions.
