It happened late yesterday evening, a few steps away from the railway station of Caserta. The victim, who had just got off the train, was waiting for a friend to come home. It took just a few moments for the young offender who, under the pretext of asking for a cigarette, approached her and swiftly snatched the phone from her hands, then fled on a bike. The victim, still dazed, began to scream for help to some passers-by who immediately called the carabinieri, through the emergency number '112'. The carabinieri of Caserta, intercepted the offender in via Ferrarecce while he was trying to get away and lose his tracks. He is a 17-year-old foreigner, he had hidden the stolen smartphone in his jacket pocket just before. The recovered phone was returned to its rightful owner. The minor, taken to the station, was reported in a state of freedom. He will have to answer for aggravated theft. In the circumstance, the procedures for re-entrusting the young man to the structure where he was already hosted were formalized.
