Sexual favors for avoiding eviction for women with financial troubles: now the court officer of the Court of Nocera Inferiore ends up in jail. Already under house arrest since last autumn, as of this morning the precautionary measure is definitive, executed by the personnel of the Operational Section of the Territorial Department of Carabinieri of Nocera Inferiore. S.A., a Court Officer serving at the Court of Nocera Inferiore, has been jailed, accused of "a systemic trading of public function in relation to forced execution and notification procedures" as written in a note by the prosecutor Antonio Centore. In fact, serious indications of crime had already been deemed existing in relation to several episodes of aggravated sexual extortion, aggravated sexual violence, disclosure of official secrets, and corruption in judicial acts, moreover emerged within a short span of time (July - November 2022). The crimes of extortion and sexual violence would have been committed in the context of eviction proceedings against women in conditions of severe socioeconomic distress, placing the tenants in front of the prospect of immediate execution of the eviction in case of non-submission to the sexual demands of the public official. Furthermore, the investigations have allowed to bring to light a serious framework of open and immediate availability of lawyers and private citizens in the formulation or acceptance of corrupt proposals. It should therefore be highlighted that, in response to the appeal proposed by the Prosecution of Nocera Inferiore, the Review Court of Salerno on 24.10.2023 had deemed there to be serious indications of guilt in relation to two additional charges and had ruled that the only measure proportionate and suitable to avoid the danger of recidivism was that of pre-trial detention in jail, specifies the prosecutor Centore. Following the declaration of inadmissibility of the appeal for Cassation proposed by the suspect, this morning, precisely on International Women's Day, the measure of maximum rigor was executed and the court officer was taken to the House of Detention of Vallo della Lucania.
