Vivicittà is a running event that united Italy on Sunday, April 14, with a simultaneous start broadcasted live by Radio Uno Rai. It was a run for peace, solidarity, and legality, all united under the flag of social sport and for everyone by Uisp. Caivano was also traversed by this colorful caravan: everyone was invited to this great celebration, which saw the participation of runners, entire families, amateurs, and simple enthusiasts, in an area where Vivicittà takes on multiple meanings.

The event in Caivano was primarily a walk of strong symbolic value. The gathering was set for 9 am at the Villa Comunale Falcone e Borsellino, from where it started at 9:30 am to then proceed on Corso Umberto I and make a brief stop near the church of San Paolo Apostolo, where tulip seeds were thrown as a metaphor for the social rebirth of the Parco Verde neighborhood. The organization was managed by Uisp Campania and all the partners of the project La Bellezza Necessaria, supported by Fondazione con il Sud and with the support of the association Un’Infanzia da Vivere, which has been working in the territory of Caivano with its volunteers for over 15 years.

The 2024 edition of Vivicittà brought everyone together in a moment of shared celebration throughout the nation to affirm the importance of preserving all rights, therefore, making it an unmissable occasion that will be remembered for a long time.
