A near tragedy occurred last night along the Avellino-Salerno highway near Solofra. A Toyota Yaris driven by a 33-year-old woman from Serino overturned and caught fire. Despite her injuries, the 33-year-old managed to get out of the cockpit before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. A patrol from the Avellino Highway Police and firefighters immediately arrived at the scene. The officers and firefighters provided assistance to the 33-year-old, who was handed over to the emergency medical services. The young woman was transported by ambulance. The Highway Police regulated traffic and initiated investigations to clarify the dynamics of the accident. The firefighters managed to extinguish the fire and secure the area.
