The Republic of Food will open the twenty-first edition of Festa a Vico, scheduled from June 10 to 12. Gennaro Esposito, a two Michelin star chef from the Torre del Saracino in Seiano, has strongly desired over the years that the festival also had a popular soul that involved his Vico Equense. In a frenetic and often inauthentic world, finding spaces where feeling prevails becomes increasingly rare and precious. This is the heart of the new concept of Festa a Vico: 'There is Feeling'. This year's event is inspired by the deep and penetrating words of a song by Pino Daniele: 'where everything makes sense, there is feeling'. In a context like Festa a Vico, this mantra becomes the guide that directs every single aspect of the event that will be presented next Monday, April 22, 2024, at Gerry's Bar at the Grand Hotel et de Milan. The Republic of Food, the Seiano Path, and the Dinner of Stars, are not movie titles but the names of the three evenings dedicated to food. An event that has grown exponentially not only in terms of chef participation, who now come from all over the world to take part in a pop party where high cuisine happily mixes with new promises. The two-starred chef of the Torre del Saracino has managed to combine the playful drive of our lands creating an event that is impossible to give up if you love gastronomy: chefs, journalists, wine producers, find themselves in a relaxed atmosphere by the sea in front of Vesuvius in a carefree spirit, without stress. 'Festa a Vico is not just a culinary gathering - explains Gennaro Esposito -, but a meeting of souls, a place where human values are celebrated and cultivated with care.
